As the name suggests, Mr. Doug Walters is the founder of, and managing attorney at, the Law Offices of Douglas F. Walters, APC. With his 40+ years of experience, Mr. Walters has been providing clients all across the State of California with superlative and dedicated legal services for decades. Formerly of Walters & Caietti, he branched off and opened this firm in 2012.
Mr. Walters was born in Los Angeles, California but has called San Diego home since he began his undergraduate studies at San Diego State University. After receiving his law degree from Western State School of Law (now Thomas Jefferson School of Law) in 1977, he began his legal career doing insurance litigation with Shifflet & Sharp. Upon departing from Shifflet in 1998 after over 20 years of service, Mr. Walters went on to become one of the founding partners of the civil litigation firm formerly known as Walters Frasier Caietti Rotan & Lopez.
His primary expertise is insurance and employment litigation, but he has amassed an expansive wealth of knowledge with respect to personal injury and medical malpractice litigation as well.
With nearly 100 judge/jury trials and over 40 years of experience under his belt, he has become one of San Diego's most respected and trusted plaintiff attorneys. He also serves as an exceptional leader of, and mentor to, his helpful support staff at our law firm.
In what little free time he has, Mr. Walters enjoys spending time with his two kids, Tayler (23) and Matt (21), relaxing and skiing from his slope-side cabin in Utah, and soaking up the beautiful Southern California sunshine.
